About
What is Great Inspirations?
Great Inspirations hosts live online clubs and classes via the video platform ‘Zoom’. Sessions are run by professional creative writers with experience tutoring and working with diverse learning needs.
Who can join?
Currently we have three different types of sessions. 1: Kids (ages 7+) classes which have a focus on learning writing techniques, how to construct stories awhile working towards solo or collaborative projects. 2: Inclusive sessions for differently abled people (any age) who need a creative outlet or an extra activity during the week that has a safe space with supported learning. 3. Senior Community sessions for older members of the community (ages 65+) who would like a motivated club setting where they can partake in writing exercises and tell stories.
Our Mission.
Our mission is to create an inclusive space where everyone can share their voice and explore the wonders of imagination, no matter their age or ability. We decided to base most of our sessions online two main reasons. The first being access, being online allows for anyone to join regardless of their location or physical limitations and the second being that we can run sessions with people in various parts of New Zealand making it a great way to meet new people. In the same vein we can use hosts with different skill sets despite them being in other locations.
